The way to peace is to notice that peace is the way (Chopra, 2005).

Peace Is the Way

And this way to peace is quite simple, although it can seem otherwise. You do not have to make the experience of accessing peace difficult or tedious. Your consciousness is already ripe for a shift to take place in you — one where (when complete) you will always be operating from this peace of yours, which has heretofore seemed so cleverly to evade you. How do I know about this ripened state that is unfolding in you? Because you would not be attracted to this material if you weren’t ready for change.

Most of us are weary of being chained to the pain and pleasure cycle. Of course we believe our captor to be merciless at times. Actually, we have always had the power to release ourselves from this unfortunate pest. Remember our friend Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz? Three clicks of her ruby red slippers and, poof — she was home! Just like Dorothy, we already have the formula to be taken immediately “home” to peace. We don’t have to go looking for it. It’s just that our fear-based conditioning has made it seem so complicated. So having some version of the Good Witch around to jog our memory can be quite beneficial. If we pay attention, those people, situations, events, and circumstances, replete with their reminders, are showing up. And as they do, it helps to keep remembering that peace is the way — while we are shown the way to peace.

Look for those people, situations and circumstances, and allow them to help you find your way to peace. Oh, and don’t forget to be one of them!

  3. I’m pretty selfish with my peace. If it goes, the entire world is in danger. 🙂

  4. what a great reminder. I can’t tell you how many times just sitting at my desk robs my peace! LOL
